Oven-Baked Cast Iron Skillet Salmon
Ingredients
- 1 lb skin-on Atlantic salmon fillet
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper
- 1 lemon, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Fresh herbs for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F.
- Pat salmon dry and season with salt and pepper.
- Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in cast iron skillet over medium-high heat.
- Place salmon skin-side down and cook 2–3 minutes.
- Flip salmon skin-side up.
- Drizzle remaining oil over salmon and add garlic.
- Arrange lemon slices around salmon.
- Transfer skillet to oven and bake 8–12 minutes until salmon flakes easily.
- Let rest a few minutes and garnish with herbs.
