Media Files====== Beef Stroganoff ====== [[Recipies]] ===== Ingredients ===== * 1 lb. ground beef * 1 medium onion, finely chopped * 2 cups fresh mushrooms, sliced * 2 cloves garlic, minced * 1/4 cup unsalted butter * 1/4 cup all-purpose flour * 1 1/2 cups beef broth * 1 cup sour cream * 1/4 cup white grape juice or apple juice * Salt and pepper, to taste * Fresh parsley, chopped * 8 oz egg noodles or rice ===== Instructions ===== - Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season with salt and pepper. Remove and set aside. - Melt 2 tablespoons butter in the skillet. Cook onions until softened, then add mushrooms and cook until browned. Remove and set aside. - Add remaining butter and garlic. Cook for 1 minute. - Stir in flour to form a roux. Gradually whisk in beef broth. - Cook until thickened, then stir in sour cream and juice. - Return beef, onions, and mushrooms to the skillet and stir well. - Cook 2–3 more minutes. - Serve over egg noodles or rice and garnish with parsley.SavePreviewCancel Edit summary
