Preheat oven to 425°F.
Pat salmon dry and season with salt and pepper.
Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in cast iron skillet over medium-high heat.
Place salmon skin-side down and cook 2–3 minutes.
Flip salmon skin-side up.
Drizzle remaining oil over salmon and add garlic.
Arrange lemon slices around salmon.
Transfer skillet to oven and bake 8–12 minutes until salmon flakes easily.
Let rest a few minutes and garnish with herbs.
